A bespoke workplace

Where I do my best work and why I moved out of the house and into a glorified shed when I need to be creative

I have tried it all and I have worked in a tiny corner in a kitchen when I first left art college, I shared a studio for some time in Stratford with another artist and in nearly every place I have lived in I have had a desk set up in the corner of some room or taken over the dining room for projects and none of it has worked as successfully as buying a really good shed, painting it in classy weatherproof paint and putting all my creative stuff in there. I have been more focused, prolific and happy since I moved into what we alternately call my studio or my shed that ever before. I saved and saved and it it is not one of those fancy outside offices but is perfect for my needs. The best thing for any creative project is to be able to walk away from a project and come back to it and everything is just where you left it and nothing needs to be packed away!
