Tiger in lagoon completed

So here it is in all it's glory. A tiger I started 3 days ago at the request on my son for his room. It has been a real pleasure to work on this and is my second animal in oils. Just as a final bit of advice, I recently paid for my first animal canvas ( a hare) to be professionally photographed and made into prints but I also wanted to use it on my Christmas cards as it was a hare in the snow. The printer said it would be all be done in 5 days and I could have the photographed image on a disc so I could print my own cards when I picked it all up. 3 weeks went by with various shoddy excuses and in desperation I put the painting outside on a sunny day, photographed it with my iphone 5 and made my Christmas cards. The moral of this story is the cards from my photos were just as good as the expensive prints. Just take your photos outside on a sunny day and take a few and you will be amazed how good your phone camera is. This image of the tiger has been taken by the same old iphone 5 in good sunlight. Just want to save you all some grief and pennies! For any students reading this, always try and photograph your work outside for your online submission portfolios, the difference is massive! It is well worth the effort.
